

Alfredo Tabaco, 91, passed peacefully in his home in Kahului, Maui on February 6, 2024 under the care of his family and Hospice Maui. He was born on April 8, 1932 in Paia, Maui to Rita Santiago and Martin Tabaco.
Alfredo is survived by his wife, Alberta Tabaco, sons Derrick and Erwin, daughters, Cheryl (Kelvin) and Darlene (Brian). His grandchildren Alfred, Jolene, Derrick, Kelton, Joseph, Kelsey, Kailee, Johnathan, and Kainoa. His great-grandchildren Puaolena, Kaiulani, Keanu, Aulani, Haaheo, Nahaku, Mahealani, and Malia. His Brothers; Lawrence (Cheryl) Tabaco; His Sisters; Luisa (Jose) Padron, Teresa (Mel†) Kakugawa, Elizabeth (Alan†) Kimura, Margaret Acain, Helen Tabaco.
Predeceased by Albert Tabaco, Elsie & Rudolfo Talon, and Lorrene & Jayme Talon.
Alfredo is a 1952 graduate of Old Maui High School. He proudly served in the Marine Corps for 4 years. He worked as a mechanic at HC&S for 39 years. He was married to the love of his life for 63 years, Alberta, who will be his forever love. Together they raised their 4 children on their farm in Haiku and now have 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. His most cherished role in life was being a father and grandfather. He enjoyed dancing, playing his harmonica, and spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered for his stubbornness, good looks and big heart.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Holy Rosary Church in Paia. Viewing starts at 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM, Mass starts at 9:30 AM-10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Makawao Veteran’s Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Lunch to follow at 12 PM after burial at Holy Rosary Church in Paia.
