Our beloved Buenaventurada “Buena” Garma Balagso, of Lahaina, peacefully passed away on June 7th, 2023 at the age of 89. She was born on July 14th, 1933 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur. Buena is the devoted wife of the late Esteban Balagso.
Buena is survived by her loving family, her three son's Mario (Madelene), Ronald (Edna), and Brian (Ariele) Balagso; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Baqui, Davin (Kiana) Balagso, Krystal (Gabe) Cunningham, Rachael, Xavier, and Abigail Balagso. She is blessed with her great grandchildren Chasstiny, Leila, Chance, and Rhyan Baqui; Ripp Balagso; and Kade, Aubrey, and Zoiey Cunningham.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at 5:30 pm and Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at 9 am at the Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina. Burial will take place at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku at 2pm on Saturday.
