Donata Rabara, 88, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, under the care of Hospice Maui, at her residence in Kihei, Maui, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 17, 1937, in Pudoc Sur, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, to the late Evaristo & Ignacia Racoma.
Donata moved to Hawaii with her family in 1985. She worked at Maalaea Surf Resort as a housekeeper from 1985 to 2002 and at Ali‘i Linen Services as a laundry attendant from 2002 to 2005.
She loved shopping, eating out, and most especially going on trips to Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband, Cirilo Rabara; Children, Nelia Torres (Conrado), Estrella Agapay (Arthur), Evangeline Riodil (Robert), Florante Racoma (Antonia), Rodrigo “Chico” Rabara (Elisa); 12 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Fructouso “Pabling” Racoma -predeceased (Victoria), Ernesta Tolentino (Abad), and Nemesio Racoma (Edith).
Funeral Service for Donata will be on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Christ the King Church, Kahului; Public Visitation at 9:00 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park (Garden of Meditation).
