Donna Lee Naomi Vasquez

It is with great sadness we announce Donna Lee Naomi Vasquez of Lahaina, Maui, born on September 24, 1956, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the age of 68, at the Maui Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift.

Donna Lee is survived by her daughter, Kristelle Vasquez, grandson, Jarred Lee (Evalyn), granddaughter, Breanna, grandson, Isaiah (Victoria), and grandson, Hezekiah, great-grandchildren, Honey, and Haelo Leigh, parents, John Vasquez, Sr. and Angelita Vasquez (predeceased), and siblings, John Jr., Patricia (predeceased), Derek, Vernon, Sandra, Gerald, and Charmaine.

Though she had only one daughter, Donna Lee nurtured an entire village with the same tenderness, care, and resilience that defined her. A quiet force in her own right, she spoke volumes through her actions and the lasting impact she had on those around her. Whether lending a hand to a neighbor, offering a listening ear to a friend, or providing wisdom to anyone who needed it, she touched countless lives with a heart full of compassion.

A woman who lived by her own terms, Donna Lee was the epitome of strength and independence. Her presence was steady, her determination unwavering, and her ability to persevere through life's challenges a testament to her character. She carried herself with a quiet grace, and though she did not seek the spotlight, the impact of her spirit and actions were felt and respected by so many.

Her nurturing soul extended far beyond the walls of her home, creating a sense of family and belonging to the village she has created, where she was known not just for what she gave but for who she was: an example of selflessness, resilience, and quiet power. In every small gesture, every word of encouragement, and every act of kindness, she demonstrated a love that knew no bounds in her own way.

Though she may no longer walk among us, her legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of those she touched. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Kristelle Vasquez, who carries forward the lessons of strength, independence, and compassion that her mother instilled. Donna Lee will forever be remembered as a woman whose love transcended boundaries, whose quiet power made a world of difference as a mother, grandmother, and aunty to many, and whose legacy will continue to inspire for generations to come.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Norman’s Mortuary, Saturday, February 08, 2025, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. A follow up visitation on Sunday, February 09, 2025 at 9:00 – 11:00am. A burial service will follow at 12:00pm at the Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku, Maui.
