

Dorothy Marlene Lena Kamalu Kaho‘okele
has gained her wings and her final “A Hui Hou” on June 6, 2025 under the care of ‘Ohana & Maui Hospice, at her residence of Lower Nahiku, Maui. She was 82 years old.
She was born on May 27, 1943 at Malulani Hospital in Wailuku, Maui to †Edner Caswell Self & †Edna Kaho‘okele (†Frederick Sr.) Calhau. Dorothy was raised by her Grandparents, †David Kanaloa Kaho‘okele Jr. & †Mary Ka‘ohelani Adams Kaho‘okele.
Kamalu is survived by her Sons, Harold “Lihau” Kekahuna, Abraham (Barbara) Melendez, Ivan “Mapu” Kekahuna, Kalima Kanaloa (Diane) Kekahuna; her daughters, †Corrina “Titi” Kekahuna, Naylene “Lehua” Kekahuna, Cheryl “Kaohe” Kekahuna.
She is also survived by her Brothers, Frederick (Ipo) Calhau Jr., David (Barbara) Calhau; Sisters Evelyn (†Patrick Sr.) Moniz, Della (Robert) Honokaupu, †April (Robert Sr.) Pettit; 5 Grandchildren, 1Predeceased
& 7 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at Norman’s Mortuary, 105 Waiale Road, in Wailuku, Maui. Visitation: 8:30 a.m., Service 11:00 a.m. Burial 2:30 p.m. atValley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku, Maui.
