Geraldine Frances Serrao

Geraldine F. Serrao, 86, of Makawao, Maui passed away on November 24th 2025 at Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii. She was born in Puunene, Maui on July 1st 1939 to the late Frank & Mary Cravalho.

After 30 years of working for the United States Postal Service, Geraldine retired from the Kihei Post Office as a Postal Clerk. She was active in various community organizations including the Wailuku Aloha Club and various MEO social and educational programs. Geraldine also enjoyed crocheting and doing other arts and crafts.

Geraldine is survived by her children Sonja Madrigal, Aaron (Heidi) Serrao, Claire (James) Schissler; grandchildren Ashley (Daniel) Madrigal, Ashley Tavares Paris, Sean (Divine) Serrao, Stephen Schissler, Mary Schissler; great grandchildren Kaelyn Madrigal-Greer, Van Freitas, Aria DeLima, Nathan Aguirre, Sage Serrao; brothers Patrick (Judith) Cravalho, Desmond Cravalho; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 62 years, Joseph G. Serrao. She is also predeceased by her brother Everett Thomas (Sandie) Cravalho.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wailuku, Maui. Visitation will begin at 9:30am; Mass at 11:00am; Followed by 12:30pm Burial at Maui Memorial Park, Wailuku.
