

Harold Gouveia, age 78, of Pukalani, Maui, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He passed peacefully at home, exactly where he wanted to be, surrounded by loved ones, family, friends and his dogs.
Harold lived a life marked by dedication, strength, humor, and a deep care for those around him. His presence was steady, his laughter genuine, and his love for his family unwavering.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who were able to gather on such short notice and share a beautiful and meaningful day with Harold the day before his passing. Mahalo to everyone for the love, prayers, kind words, and food that continue to pour in during this time.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Earlee M. Gouveia; his four children, Kaʻina (Robert) Bonacorsi, Palani Gouveia, Malia (Clinton) Gomes, and Ikaika Gouveia; nine grandchildren, Kamanukea, Keaghan, Sage, Kahiau, Kaulaili, Frank, Chaya, Hilinaʻi, and Nanea; and one great-grandson, Lane.
He is also survived by his siblings, Warren (Lourdes) Gouveia and Lois (Steve) Rose, and is now reunited with his sister Nanette (survived by Gundi) Dancil, and his parents, Frank and Adeline Gouveia.
Services will be held at Holy Rosary Church in Paia, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 with Visitation at 9:00 a.m., Eulogy at 10:15 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m.; Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Maui Veterans Cemetery.
Harold will be deeply missed by his many family members, friends, and loved ones, who will continue to carry his memory forward through the stories they share and the values he lived by.
A life well lived never truly ends--it lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. Harold’s memory will remain a lasting source of comfort and gratitude to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
