He served 3 years in the US Army. After his tour in Vietnam, he was stationed at Homestead, Florida where he met Patty his beloved wife of 37 years and moved to Maui in 1974.
He worked as a bartender and eventually finished his career in the engineering department at Mahinihina Surf.
He enjoyed fishing, ready and being with family, friends and his cats.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on December 7, 2014 at Launiopoko Park from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his name to Hospice Maui.
Jim is lovingly remembered b his wife, Patty, daughter, Heather, son-in-law, Erwin, granddaughter, Avery, sister Peggy, brother-in-law, Odi and by many, many friends.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed.
