

James Faye Ka’aiohelo Lindsey, Jr., 78 of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. He was born in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii on February 24th, 1942 at Pioneer Mill Hospital to the late James Faye Ka’aiohelo Lindsey, Sr. & Rose Marie Puana Lindsey. James honorably served our country as a combat soldier in the Korean War conflict and was discharged from the U.S. Army on August 24th of 1967 with a rank of Sergeant (T) E-5.
He is survived by his sons, James ‘Kimo’ (Lei), Joseph ‘Kekuhi’(Melissa) and Thomas (Jen) Lindsey, his sister Rose Marie (John) Duey, brothers Ronald (Linda) Lindsey and Samuel Kamuela Keanini. He is predeceased by his wife Clara Mae Holmes, parents James Faye Ka’aiohelo Lindsey, Sr. & Rose Marie Puana Lindsey, sister Katie (Daniel) Nahina and three brothers George ‘Keoki’, Thomas ‘Tom’, and Edwin ‘Eddy’ Lindsey and leaves behind 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Norman’s Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. with prayer service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial is to follow at Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao at 1:00 p.m.Arrangements completed by Norman's Mortuary.
