Jason Medeiros, 60 of Kihei, Maui took his last breath in the early afternoon of February 21, 2026. He passed away in the ICU with family by his side.
He was born in Wailuku, the eldest son of John E. Medeiros and Leona Asako Teruya Medeiros. He is predeceased by his brother Jerod Medeiros. He is survived by his parents, John and Leona, His sister, Janelle Puanani Bailey, his brother, Joshua Medeiros. He also leaves behind nephews Issac Bailey, Ivan Bailey, Nieces; Tatiana Medeiros, Ivy Bailey and 2 Grandnephews, Boss Akahi Bailey and Cash Akahi Bailey.
Jason graduated in 1983 from Baldwin High School. Throughout his high school years, he worked various jobs in the restaurant business, mostly at the former Chuck’s Steakhouse.
Jason later moved to Escondido in San Diego for around 2 years before returning home to Maui, where he joined the Carpenter’s Union Apprenticeship and became a journeyman carpenter, working with Murphy Construction. He then worked for the State of Hawaii for the Harbors Division in Lahaina for nearly ten years.
Jason was a very quiet and private person. He was very knowledgeable at many things. He never bothered anyone and was a man of few words. He was loved unconditionally and will be missed.
Celebration of Life for Jason will be on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Norman’s Mortuary in Wailuku. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m.; Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Scattering of Ashes will be held privately.
