Joseph Makani “Choo-Choo” Gabin, 59, of Wailuku, passed away on November 22, 2015 at his home. He was born on December 20, 1955 in Wailuku, Maui.He is survived by his mother, Bella Kahahane Gabin (Ron) Thompson; father, Joe (Joanne) Gabin; brother, Stanley (Sherri) Gabin; sisters, Jade (Mike) Riley, Aloha Thompson; godchild, Cheyenne Thompson; nieces, Natasha Andaya, Nichole Haupu, Kalahulani & Kekainani Riley, Rayleen Kama, Gina Moreno, Chevyenne Cabrido; nephews, Mika’ele & Maluhia Riley, John & Jasen Amaral, Dakota & Stewart Thompson.“Choo-Choo” was well known to many on Maui. A very “talented & colorful” entertainer throughout his life time. He definitely left his “personal touch” wherever he went. You can DANCE all night now… We love you CHOOCH!An informal gathering to celebrate his life will be held at The Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. His ashes will remain with the family till further notice.
