

Kathleen Dilts passed away in her home on Tuesday February 9th, 2016 with the care of her family and Hospice Maui. She was born on January 6, 1950 in Kent, Ohio. After giving birth to her son Paul, in 1968 in Hollywood, California Kathy moved to Maui. Kathy worked in the restaurant industry in Lahaina, working at “The Lahaina Travel Lodge”, “The Rusty Harpoon” and “The Whales Tail”. She started her own company called Kathy’s Got It Maid in 1987. Kathy gave her clients the Special Aloha touch that made her business so successful and built a special bond with them that will be very hard to duplicate. Kathy loved the Hawaiian Islands and their beauty. She always gave without any thought or reward and invited everyone in her life with warm hands. She was known as “The Maui Mom”. One of Kathy’s favorite things to do was entertain at her home, “Tara”, in Napili. She loved her grandchildren Hayden and Emily dearly and would drop anything to hear their voice or a chance to see them on skype. Kathy is survived by her son Paul Dilts and his wife Serena and their two children Hayden and Emily. Her sister Mona, her brother Gino, nephew Matt and his wife Nora their children Michelle, Michael and David, Her Nephew Chris and his wife Saori and their three children Koa, Noa and Hoku, and her niece Heather.We will celebrating her life at Kathy’s home on Saturday, February 20 from 2-7 pm, by having a pot luck gathering of family and friends. Please come and share your thoughts, laughs and memories with us all.A sunset celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at Launiupoko Beach Park on Wednesday February 24th.The family requests that instead of sending flowers that a donation may be made to Hospice Maui in Kathy’s name.
