Richard Charles Burns, 69It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Charles "Ricky" Burns of Haiku announces his unexpected passing on September 8, 2021. He was a retired plumber with Local 675 and an avid ulua fisherman.Born July 3, 1952, Ricky grew up in Haiku and attended St. Joseph School. He worked summers picking pineapple and graduated from St. Anthony High School in the Class of 1970. Ricky enjoyed traveling for car shows and NHRA drag races, in addition to visiting many national parks.He is survived by brothers Robert (Mary), William (Tina), Raymond, and Sidney (Debbie); and his Uncle Edward and Aunt Albertina Franco.A private family prayer service was held on October 30, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
