Gerard Alexander Laraque

A man of intellect and ambition, Gerard graduated with highest honors from Colorado Technical University, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology. He went on to a successful career as a Systems Engineer with LT Consulting.

Throughout his years there and at previous companies, Gerard built deep, lasting bonds with his colleagues. He didn’t just have coworkers; he had a "big sister," a "little brother," and a "brother from another mother"—relationships he valued and nurtured deeply.

Affectionately known as "G," his greatest love was his family. He cherished his time watching boxing and football with his son, Lil G, and loved exploring the latest tech gadgets or sharing a fabulous meal with his eldest son, Dwight.

For twenty-eight years, Gerard and his devoted wife, Donna, shared a Friday night "date night" tradition. Whether they were out at a favorite restaurant or relaxing at home with pizza, subs, and a good cocktail, these moments were the highlight of his week.

Gerard was a lifelong enthusiast of physical fitness and bodybuilding. In the early 2000s, he competed in natural bodybuilding competitions, winning several titles and forming close friendships within the community. He maintained his disciplined workout routine every single day, fueled by the energy and results it brought him. Beyond the gym, he had a passion for his Stinger, occasionally enjoying the thrill of a race—safely, of course.

Above all, Gerard was a man of immense integrity and humor. He was a patient listener who chose to see the best in everyone, always offering the benefit of the doubt and never uttering a disparaging word. He truly possessed a heart of gold.

Gerard is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his sons, Gerard and Dwight; and his mother, Nicole Jean-Louis. He also leaves behind his brothers, Pierre and Dominique Laraque; his sisters-in-law, Marcia and Rosie Laraque; his godson, Alex Jean-Louis; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerard Laraque.

Gerard’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
