Margaret Jean Kelly Willett, 96 of White Plains, formerly of Brandywine, Maryland, died October 29, 2020 in Waldorf, Maryland Born September 14, 1924 in Salisbury, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Oleton M. and Mary Elsie Kelly. She graduated from La Plata High School and married her late husband Ovelton B. "Teets" Willett on September 7, 1942. At the time of his passing, they had been married 61 years. For many years she worked as a school secretary at Baden Elementary. She left that position to become a full-time grandmother to her two grandsons. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Warren O. Willett and her sister Vivian Marie Garner. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Ann Robey and husband James; grandsons Jason and wife Amanda; Adam and wife Theresa; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Samuel, Madeline and Mason; sister Dixie Lee Morgan; and loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at 11:00 am. at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Charles County, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20603 or Angels Heart Assisted Living, 15704 Carlee Court, Accokeek, Maryland 20607

Although I didn’t know her well, she was my step-brothers grandma and I heard nothing but wonderful things about her from both Nancy and Jason. I always hoped that I could be as loved and honored as she was. She was always there for Jason, and I know he was there for her.

I’m very sorry about the family’s loss.
