

Ruth had an amazing career, spanning over thirty years, as a Visa & Passport Specialist with the USIA. There she made lifelong friends and met many remarkable people before retiring with numerous accolades. As a devout catholic and social butterfly she enjoyed volunteering her time at her church, organizing social and charitable events. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing, NASCAR, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister Audrey McDonald; brothers Albert and James "Jim" McDonald, and sister-in-law Jeanella McDonald (Patrick).
She is survived by her son Robert "Brian" Hetzlein, daughter-in-law Diana Hetzlein, grandson Brian Patrick Hetzlein, granddaughter Tiffany Lindsey (Calvin), two great-grandchildren Everest and Juniper, brothers Raymond R. "Bob" McDonald (Annette) and Patrick McDonald, and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her memory, a donation can be made to your local animal shelter or the Alzheimer's Association.
