

William Wallace Hurley, III died January 8, 2011 at his residence in Waldorf, Maryland at the age 58. Mr. Hurley was an avid, diehard Redskins and Nationals fan. His passion started as a young boy when his grandfather took him to his first Senators game. His favorite past times were playing the daily lottery, watching classic movies, and mastering solitaire on the computer. His simple, uncomplicated approach to life was envied and admired by many he met. An electrician with Local #26 IBEW for 30 years, he held his union membership in extreme high regard. He loved to travel with his wife and lifetime partner, Karen. His 3 sons were the focus of his life, along with the blessing of his 2 grandsons. All who met his became instantly attracted to his happy, unassuming and laid back outlook on life. William was born on October 19, 1952 in Washington, D.C. to the late William Wallace and Joan Hurley, Jr.. He is preceded in death by son Michael Justin Hurley, and brother Steven Wayne Hurley. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Karen Hurley, sons William W. Hurley, IV and Benjamin Hurley, daughter-in-law Nikki Hurley, grandsons Aidan Wallace and Liam Patrick Hurley, sister Linda Hurley Whitham and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, january 11, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. at The Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601. Funeral Service will be Private. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland.Pallbearers will be Beau Hurley, Ben Hurley, James B. Michael, Sr., Wayde Michael, Buz Michael and Jim Thompson.
