Alberto "Bert" Mendez Jr., 18, of Wapato passed away sunday May 20, 2012. Albertowas a member of the Yakama Nation. Bert is survived by both parents Sophia Gardee and Alberto M. Mendez Sr., two brothers: Beau Gardee and Mazimo Gardee; two sisters: Sylvia and Virginia Mendez and Aunt/Other Mom Gloria (Julian) Flores, nieces Charisma, Isabelle and nephews Edward and Daniel Y. Gardee.
Service arrangements are as follows: Wednesday May 23, 2012, (:00 a.m.-11:00 am, All Tribes Christian Center. Burial to follow at Union Gap Reservation Cemetery.
