Lawrence M Gonzales

Lawrence “Larry” Melendez Gonzales, 78, long time resident of Yakima, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Haysville, Kansas. Larry was born on August 10, 1934 to Ladislado and Augustina Gonzales in Worland, Wyoming.

Larry married Clementine Estrada and they had three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Later in life he married Bernice Seward and became the father of four step-children, six step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his siblings Pete Gonazles and Enedina Gonzalez, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Merritt Funeral Home on Thursday, March 7th, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. with a Wake Service to start at 5:30. Burial will be Friday, March 8th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Reservation Community Memorial Park.
