
Michael was freshman at Wapato High School. He loved to watch WWE, Raw, Smackdown, and all professional wrestling. He had achieved “expert” status on most video games. His life goal was to become involved in the video gaming industry. Michael was the #1 fan of the Seattle Seahawks even though the rest of the family and his brother were die-hard Dallas Cowboy fans. He never gave up on the Seahawks.
Michael is survived by both his parents; his brothers 13 year old Danny, 9 year old Anthony, and 6 year old Christoper; sister 1 year old Isabella; “baby cousin” Mariana Casteneda; cousins Jody and Ryan Castaneda, Jennifer and Joshua Bond, Selena and Juliana Martinez, and numerous other cousins; aunts and uncles Melissa Casteneda, Marilyn and Lewis Bond, Martin Vera, Simon Vera, Margarita Vera, Flor Vera, Lupe Vera and Juan Vera.
Michael was preceded in death by his older brother Merced Jr. Vera, Grandmother Margie Rodriquez, great-grandma Felice Alvarado, and his uncle Joe Mata.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00, Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Merritt Funeral Home, with a Rosary on Tuesday, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00, February 1, 2012 at St Peter Claver Catholic Church, Wapato. Burial will follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park.
