

Pablo Mendoza, 71 passed away October 13, 2013 at home. He was born June 25, 1942 to Julia Gomez Mendoza and Maximillano Mendoza. Pablo attended Yakima Valley Community College and Heritage University. Pablo’s education did not stop with his completion of school; throughout his life he enjoyed reading and being aware of world events. He helped to bring Caesar Chavez to the Yakima valley during the grape boycott of the late 1960’s. He enjoyed speaking with others about Jesus. After his heart attack in 2004 he heard the words “I will always be with you”. He was in the US Marines Corps from 1961- 1966.
Pablo is survived by his wife, Jean Mendoza, two sons, Sean Paul Marley and Cosme Damian Marley, a daughter, Sacha Pabla Marley and three grandchildren.
Pablo is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Manuel, Jesus and Jose Mendoza. Two sisters, Ramona & Juanita Mendoza.
There will be visitation Thursday from 3pm to 7pm at Merritt Funeral Home, with a Vigil beginning at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will at St Mary’s Catholic Church in White Sawn, with burial following at Reservation Community Memorial Park.
