

Ted S. Trujillo, 46, passed away on April 6, 2015 at his home in Harrah. Ted was born on September 4, 1968 to Roger and Elena (Broncheau) Trujillo in Toppenish, Washington. Ted attended White Swan High School and graduated in 1986.
Ted worked for the Wapato Irrigation Project of Bureau of Indian Affairs and was a member of Fraternity Order of Eagles of Toppenish. Ted was also a proud member of the Yakama Nation. Anyone, who knew Ted, knew how much he loved sports. Ted played on the Bud Light softball team of Yakima and various other men’s and co-ed softball teams. Ted also enjoyed golf, basketball, and bowling. Ted was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks, however his favorite hobbie was watching his nieces and nephews participate in their sporting events.
Ted is survived by his son, Levi Fiander; daughters, Semone Dittentholer and Almajo Fiander; brother, Travis Trujillo; sister, Rebecca Trujillo (Casey) Mills; nephew, Roger Trujillo Valdez; and his niece, Ruby Trujillo. Ted is also survived by his lifelong friends Deland Olney, Leroy Whitekiller, James Tsoodle, James Nanez and Lon Shock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Elena Trujillo; and several uncles and aunts.
The family would like to thank the Yakama Nation Enrollment Services, the Yakama Warriors Association, Grandma Fudge, Atowiishumash, and all other family and friends for their love and support. “God saw you getting tired….”
The Dressing Service was held yesterday, April 8, 2015 at Merritt Funeral Home. The Overnight Service was held at the Toppenish Creek Longhouse and burial will be today, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 9 a.m. at the 1910 Shaker Church Cemetery in White Swan. Merritt Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
