Yvelis touched so many in her short life on this Earth, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone who laid eyes on her. She was an angel who was fearless, beautiful, yet stubborn and a fighter. She absolutely loved outdoors, and will always bring a new meaning to the word "HASHTAG". She loved her Sisters; Nanas (Ari) and Meow (Miah) and her sitter; Mariah Rivera. She will always be in our hearts as our little princess (Baby Luisa) with sparkling brown eyes. Words can't express how we all feel about her.
She is survived by her parents, Kyle L. Brown and Luisa (Lopez) Brown; her sisters, Ariana M. Brown and Miah L. Brown; Great-Grandparents, Doug & Beverly Brown and Phyllis Agdeppa; Grandparents, Danny Brown, Joyce Scott, Asuncion (Yolanda) Lopez, Martina Equihua; Aunts and Uncles, Meagan Brown, Jason Mokuiki, Brandon and Maggie Brown, Efren Lopez, Gerardo Lopez and Jonathan Ramirez; Cousin, Kailana Mokuiki; and Godparents, Mathew “SunSon” and Tracey McConville.
She is preceded in death by her relatives Pete & Gertrude Dillman; Clive, Myrtle, Jody, Terry and Josh Brown; Bernard & Carol Agdeppa; Efren and Nieves Lopez; and Guadalupe Equihua.
Many thanks to all the staff at Children's Hospital-Seattle, the Ronald McDonald House, the Wapato Fire Department, and very special thanks to Saul Perez. To all of our family and friends that have been with us through this tough time, thank you. We love each one of you. Our baby girl is now an Angel and will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Yvelis smile always brought happiness and hope to those who surrounded her, and this remained even after her early passing. Her parents decided to donate vital organs that will forever go on in those of need. With these donations, Yvelis will be able to give the gift of sight to two children that are currently blind through the gift of cornea donation. Even more so, her big heart is being donated for a life-saving and life-altering gift that will drastically improve the recipients' lives that suffer from congenital diseases of their heart valve.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, or Children's Hospital of Seattle in Yvelis' name, care of Merritt Funeral Home, 218 W 3rd St, Wapato, WA 98951.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at the family home. Viewing will follow on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Merritt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park.
