Adrienne Mary Sowinski-Nowak

Adrienne Mary Sowinski-Nowak, age 39, of Berkley, Michigan passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Adrienne was born in Royal Oak Michigan on February 18, 1984. The third and final child of George and Sue Nairn. The baby sister to Maureen and Daniel.

Adrienne graduated from Warren Mott High school, class of 2002. She worked for the Van Dyke

Public School District for 10 years, and at The Rising Stars Academy for 6 as a Paraprofessional. She performed her job with great passion and responsibility for those students that needed extra help and compassion in school and in life.

Adrienne married Alan Sowinski in 2002 and they welcomed their first beautiful child Dylan into their world. Their beautiful daughter Nicole entered their lives in 2004. In 2008 Adrienne married Gregory Nowak, and in 2009 they welcomed the beautiful Mickey into their world.

Adrienne and Greg called the quaint little city of Berkley Michigan home. She loved to get outside and into the dirt, planting flowers and plants of all types. Listening to music at very high volume. She loved to find new recipes and cook delicious meals. Yearly trips to Walt Disney World and visiting family in Georgia was where true memories were made. Every year the trips got bigger and better. If there was anyone who knew how to plan a trip and keep it on track, it was Adrienne. Her love for travel and adventure with Greg and the kids was one of her most defining traits. That and the color Purple.

When talking about Adrienne, her love for animals will definitely come up. The list of animal friends she had in her life is long, but each one carved out a very special and unique place in her heart and soul. When severe sickness reared its ugly face, Adrienne stared right into it with strong defiance. Up until the very end she was dreaming of more trips with Greg, Dylan, Nicole, and Mickey.

Adrienne is survived by Greg, her husband of 15 years. Her three beautiful children, Dylan, Nicole, and Mickey. Her dogs Lou, Louie, and Theo. Cats, Wayne, Macy, and Gus. The fish. Her sister Maureen Marks (Adam); nieces Isabelle and Clarissa. Brother Daniel Nairn (Doug). Ex-husband Alan Sowinski (Megan). Parents George and Susan Nairn. In-laws Ken and Kathy Nowak.

A Memorial Visitation for Adrienne will be held on Friday, February 2nd from 4-8pm with a 7pm Time of Sharing at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI.
