Angela Protas

Angela Protas, age 74, died peacefully at her home in Warren on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. She was born in a small town in West Virginia to the late Joseph and Helen Janice Mourovic. She graduated from Oakhill High School and then moved up to Detroit, where she met her husband, Edward. Angela was the President of the PTA where she loved to volunteer her time helping children. She worked throughout the Warren Consolidated School District. She also loved to bowl; she was even on a league with her sister, Helen. Aside from keeping busy with all her activities, she enjoyed relaxing times when gardening, fishing and painting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially by her loving family. Angela was the loving wife of Edward. She was the loving mother of Cynthia (Andrew) Hodges, Sandra (David) Stabile and Steven (Becky) Protas. Dear grandmother of Jane and Edward Hodges, Karen and Paul Stabile, and Ashley Alyson and Devin Protas. She is also survived by her sisters, Anna and Helen. Memorial Visitation for Angela will be held on Sunday, June 6th, from 5-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 7th, at 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.
