

Anna Mary (nee: Pawlukiewicz) Manzo, age 89 of Harper Woods, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. Mrs. Manzo was born October 19, 1916 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Thomas Pawlukiewicz and the late Anna (nee: Kowalski) Pawlukiewicz. Anna is the loving mother of John (Elizabeth) Manzo, Denise Pareyt, and Annette (Richard) Correa. Mother in-law of the late Gil Pareyt. Dearest grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 4. Sister of Stella Nehas. Cherished Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Anna was raised in Detroit and attended High School in Highland Park. She moved to Harper Woods with her husband in 1942 and she would continue to live in Harper Woods for the next 64 years. Anna worked at the Bayview Yacht Club as a waitress for over 10 years before retiring. After her retirement she enjoyed reading and loved traveling to the casinos. She was an avid bowler her whole life, until a shoulder injury forced her to quit at age 70. Annas true love was her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; however her buddy was her parakeet Skippy. After her husband died, Skippy kept Anna company constantly talking, making sounds, and doing tricks. Visitation will be Tuesday May 2nd, from 2-9 pm, with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm. Closing prayers for Mrs. Manzo will be Wednesday May 3rd, 10:00 am from the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile), to St. Edmund Catholic Church Mass of the Christian Burial 10:30 am. Please share memories of Mrs. Manzo at her guest book.
