

Byron Frederick LaMonde Jr., a 45 year resident of Fraser, died following a long illness early Sunday morning June 27, 2010 in St. John Macomb Hospital of Warren. He was 72 years of age. Byron was born in Detroit on August 29, 1937, a son of Veronica and the late Byron F. LaMonde Sr. He was employed as a Job Setter and Supervisor in the auto industry until his retirement. He served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Air Force. Byron was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Ilene M. Dunbar on March 3, 1962 in Detroit where they made their first home. He enjoyed card playing, especially a good game of Euchre, fishing and performing magic tricks for his grandchildren and others. He will be deeply missed by the many that knew and loved him. Byron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ilene on March 25, 2004. He is survived by his loving children, Jeanette (Mike) Maes, Paulette (James) Youness, and Andre (Sarah) LaMonde; his beloved mother, Veronica; grandchildren, James, Joshua, Marcel, Kelly, Gabriel and Hannah. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Loretta (George) Krause, Dolores (Richard) Pullicin and Pauline (the late Raymond) Swindell. Visitation will be held at the Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd., Warren on Tuesday from 2pm till 9pm with funeral services Wednesday at 11am in the funeral home.
