Cecilia E. Fugiel

Cecilia Emily Fugiel, age 88 of Hamtramck, died Sunday, January 15, 2006 at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital West, in Clinton Township. Cecilia was born January 27, 1917 in Hamtramck, Michigan the daughter of the late Franciszek Fugiel and the late Stefania (nee: Krukowski) Fugiel. She is the sister of Irene (Frank) Warchulski, and the late Ted Fugiel, Lydia LaBoda, Stephanie Skladanowski, and Frank Fugiel. Sister in-law of John Skladanowski, and Beverly Fugiel. She also survived by many nieces and nephews. A lifetime resident of Hamtramck, Ms. Fugiel graduated from Hamtramck High School and then went to work for UniRoyal Tire Company as an assembler for over 37 years. When she was not working she was devoted to her church and family, often spending time with them playing pinochle, shopping, or watching television. Visitation for Cecilia will be Tuesday January 17th from 3-9 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). A Rosary Service will also be held Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Ms. Fugiel will lie in State Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church until the time of the funeral Mass 10:30 am. Officiating the Funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Gary Schulte and Deacon John Skladanowski. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Please share memories of Cecilia at her guest book.
