Christene was a woman with a truly caring spirit and a heart that made room for everyone. She devoted her life to loving and caring for others, always putting the needs of family and friends before her own.

Born with a love for family and adventure, Christene cherished her childhood memories of visiting her grandmother in The Hague, the Netherlands. Those trips held a special place in her heart and remained treasured stories she shared throughout her life. At the age of 12, Christene accepted Christ as her Savior, a decision that shaped her faith and guided her throughout her life.

She shared a beautiful bond with her mother, Betty, and the two especially enjoyed taking cruises together, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Christene also had a remarkable connection with animals and a natural gift for understanding and caring for them. If there was an animal in need, she was the first to open her heart and her home. Her beloved cats Bitchy, Titty, Reese, Bella, and Boss and her loyal dog, Dirk, were not just pets, but cherished members of her family.

Beloved daughter of Betty. Loving mom of Christ (Miranda) Barbosa and Sarah Harms. Cherished Oma of Shyanne, Stephen, Sage, Vicky, and was looking forward to the arrival of her grandson Victor. Also survived by her dear friends Meegan, Holly, and Tammy.
