

Claude M. Bolar, Jr., age 82, died Monday, November 9, 2020 at Ascension St. John Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Claude was born November 20, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Claude Bolar Sr. and the late Marie (nee: Deloney) Bolar.
Claude was raised in Mount Clemens and attended Mount Clemens High School. Following school he managed a grocery store and later worked on the assembly line at General Motors. Claude would work for General Motors for over 20 years before retiring and beginning a new career as the owner and operator of K-9 Specialties in Warren, Michigan selling pet food and supplies. Claude and his family have operated K-9 Specialties from 1982 until the present time.
When Claude was not working, he enjoyed listening and playing country music on one of his many guitars. He and his late wife Liz also loved to visit their favorite country bar and go line dancing. Claude lived a simple life of hard-work, love for his family, dancing and music. Throughout his entire life, he cherished animals. He raised and trained many dogs over the years, particularly St. Bernards. It was his love of animals that led to his second career of owning his pet supply business.
Claude was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Bolar, and was the dear father of Ron Schnepper, Donna (Sam) Wood, and Mark Bolar. Loving grandfather of Jennifer Dye, James Wood, Samantha (Anthony) Paruszkiewicz, and great-grandfather of Catherine Dye and Shawn Paruszkiewicz. He was the brother of Sherry Emerick and the late Bruce Bolar.
Visitation for Mr. Bolar will be held Sunday, November 15th from 5-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, 11 am at the Funeral Home. Officiating the Funeral Services will be Reverend Walter Keller.
