Daniel Robert Maher

Daniel Robert Maher, age 19 of Warren, died suddenly in an automotive accident, Monday, September 13, 2004. He was born April 29, 1985 in Warren, Michigan at Bi-County Community Hospital. He is the son of Robert Maher and Laura (nee: Walko) Maher. Daniel lived his entire life in Warren. He is survived by his mother and father, his dear sister Loni Maher, his paternal grandmother Louise Maher, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his former stepfather Larry Andrews. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard Maher, and Mickey & Delphine Walko. Daniel Maher graduated with the class of 2003 at Lincoln High School, achieving straight A status after transferring from Center Line High. When Dan was young he enjoyed playing football with the Warren Jets, also he loved all sports playing baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. He was also a member of the Cub Scouts, but his true love after high school was his Ford Mustang. Before Dan could afford a car, he drew the Ford Mustang he would come to own. Dan worked diligently at Pelican Metal Products in Mount Clemens to pay for his car, often working many overtime hours. He started as a general laborer but moved up through the ranks quickly, and was given more and more responsibilities. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his love for life, and passion for hard work to achieve goals will live on. Visitation will be held September 16th, from 5-9 pm and the 17th from 1-9 pm at the D. S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common, (12 Mile). Funeral services for Dan will be held Saturday September 18th, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church. Daniel will lie in state at the church 9:30 am prior to the Mass. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am. Officiating the funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Gary Schulte. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
