Deborah Jean Spencer

Deborah J. Spencer, age 51, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. She was born on July 16, 1959, the daughter of William E. and Marjorie (nee: Lopp) Deason. A lifelong resident of Warren, Deborah was most proud of the city she called home. It is where she was born...where she was raised and attended school...and where she met the love of her life, Rick, her high school sweetheart to whom she promised herself in marriage and would go on to share 32 wonderful years together as husband & wife. As their love grew for each other, and the dreams of becoming a family danced in their hearts and minds, their lives were gloriously changed the day they welcomed their son, Michael, into the world. Always the doting wife and mother, Deborah's care for her husband and son was immeasurable, and she loved them both with all she had to give. The memories they made together were treasured, and it is all of those special moments that remain in their hearts to be cherished always. Though home & hearth were rooted in Warren, Deborah's love for the sun and water was often nurtured by the getaways she lived for at the family's condo in Algonac. This scenic and picturesque little town, along the shores of Lake St. Clair, brought her immense joy and offered her the perfect mix of the elements she so enjoyed. It was her "home away from home" where she could soak up the rays, bask in the beauty of her nautical surroundings, and simply enjoy the blessings of a well-deserved escape. Deborah was a woman with incredible compassion, a tremendous "giving" heart, a Big Soul, and the kind of person who would do anything for anybody. If Deborah sensed a need, she was right there with the help and support to lift another's spirits or to lend a hand. She was a consummate caregiver who adored her family and friends. Spending time with them was the most important thing in her life, and the legacy of love she leaves behind will be cherished and remembered by all those whose lives she touched. Deborah was the beloved wife of Rick. She was the dear mother of Michael (Jenae) Spencer. Loving sister of William E. (Karen) Deason Jr., David (Sheila) Deason, Charlene (Greg) Patterson, and the late Robert and Darrell Deason. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. And certainly not to be forgotten...her special friend & dog, Gizmo! Visitation for Deborah will be on Monday, September 6th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 7th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Please share memories of Deborah at her guest book.
