Delor William Wood

Delor was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving in Hawaii and Japan until 1964. He retired from General Motors after more than 30 years. Always a devout catholic, Delor was a parishioner at St. John Vianney, and previously of St. Martin de Porres. He was an avid golfer and loved taking his grandsons to the golf course. He enjoyed traveling and trip planning, driving and road trips. He also liked puzzles, games, and playing cards. Spending time with his family and friends was the most important thing to Delor.

Delor was the beloved husband of the late Lucy Wood for over 35 years, and is married to Joanne Moceri-Wood for over 20 years. The loving father of Deborah (Jeff) Hasenau, Lisa (Joe) Borowski, and Thomas (Dorene) Wood; stepfather of Annette Desantis, Terri (John) McClellan, and Mike (Nicolina) Moceri. Cherished grandfather of Aaron, Abigail, Samantha (Austin), Joe, Amanda (Mark), Jennifer (Matt), Jacob (Anisa), Giovanna, Carla, Ava, Michael, Andrew, Lauren (Gino), Vincent, and Suzie; great grandfather of Alistair. The dear brother of the late James Wood Jr.

A visitation for Delor will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, Michigan. An instate will occur Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral at 11:00 AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, Michigan.
