Denise Marie Pinkham-Waddell

Denise Marie Pinkham-Waddell, age 53 of Fraser, died suddenly Thursday, September 01, 2005 at her home. Denise was born February 05, 1952 in Hamtramck, Michigan the daughter of the late Rolla Williams and the late Cecile (nee: Beczak) Woznik. Denise was raised in Hamtramck attending St. Florian grade school and Hamtramck High School, also Cosmetology & Beauty Institute. After becoming a licensed cosmetologist she moved to Las Vegas and did hair and makeup for the showgirls. After several years in Las Vegas she returned to the Detroit area in 1983 where she worked primarily at Artiste Salon in Universal Mall for over ten years. When Denises mother died she did her hair and was immediately hired by the woman handling local funeral homes hairstyling. Denise became a Desairologist in 1991, (a person whom styles hair for the deceased). She operated her own business for over ten years working for many local suburban Detroit funeral homes. Denise was always smiling and kind to others, always giving complements. She always put her family and others before herself. She was very proud of her profession and her ability to serve families who have lost a loved one, and the funeral directors. Survivors include her husband William Waddell. Dearest mother of Courtney (Christopher) Fryer. Cherished grandmother of McKenzie Autumn Fryer. Loving sister of Tina Jan Harjay, and Deborah Ann (Rich) Knox. Dear aunt and godmother of John Joseph Knox and Timothy Lawrence Knox. Sister in-law of Dora Kay Sevette, Sue Layer, and the late Joseph Harjay. Stepmother of Billy Waddell. Also survived by many dear relatives and friends. Her loving grandparents, Albert and Victoria Kuchciak, predeceased Denise. Visitation will be held at D. S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home on Friday from 2-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 3, 2005, 12 Noon at the funeral home. Officiating the funeral will be Rev. Pastor Jerry Weinzierl. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Please share memories of Denise at the guest book.
