
Dennis Michael Baril, age 57 of St. Clair Shores, formerly of Warren, died Thursday, June 02, 2005 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. Mr. Baril was born June 25, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Elizabeth (nee: Frauce) Baril and the late Oliver Baril. Mr. Baril grew up in Warren attending Ascension Catholic School until 8th grade and then Notre Dame Preparatory for two years before graduating Warren Cousino High School. While in high school he excelled at sports and was named All County in football at Cousino. After high school he worked for the city of Warren for a short time in the assessing department before joining the Warren Police, as a cadet officer in training. After he finished the police training in Warren, he joined the Sterling Heights Police Department where he worked for seven years. Mr. Baril then worked for Detroit Medical Centers in the Security Department, working at St. John Macomb Hospital (formerly South Macomb Hospital), and then going to work at Riverview Hospital. When he was not working Dennis enjoyed playing softball with his brother and played for many championship teams in the 1970s. He also loved to watch all sports especially the Detroit Tigers. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Betty Baril. Dearest brother of Charles (Lee) Baril, and Shirley Hunt. Dear friend of Sandi. Nephew of Margaret Hackel, and Russell (Evelyn) Frauce. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Baril will be Friday May 3rd, from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Funeral Services will be Saturday 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Norbert Maciejewski officiating. Private interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
