Donna Jean Scott

Donna Jean Scott, age 74 of New Baltimore, died Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Village of East Harbor in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. She was born May 4, 1942 in St. Clair Shores, daughter of the late David R. and the late Mary Ursula (nee: Smith) Broom.For her place in the working world, Donna was quite proud of the 15 years spent at Venture Industries, just one of the numerous companies that support the world of automation. Prior to that, Donna and her husband were the smiling faces that greeted countless patrons over the years that frequented their business,…the Gulf gas station at the corner of 15 Mile & Utica Roads. Between her time spent at the gas station and the years at Venture Industries, Donna truly emulated that of a person possessing strong work ethics and a desire to make a difference,…which she did in so many ways. Aside from work, another way that Donna made a difference was through her association with the Eastern Star, a fraternal order within the Masonic Lodge. She was very proud and honored to be a part of one of the world's largest fraternal organizations, and a fellow sister with many who hold the Freemason's in the highest regard.As for her favorite pastimes, Donna had a penchant for the excitement of competition. Whether for an innocent game of Pinochle around the table with family or friends, or challenging her favorite slot machines at the casino, Donna was always seeking that "thrill of victory!"A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Donna leaves behind a storehouse of warm & wonderful memories for those to embrace who were blessed to know this inspiring lady. She touched a multitude of hearts and souls throughout her life's journey, and will be treasured always for the caring spirit that went before her. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Donna was the beloved wife of the late Douglas. Dear mother of Edward (Maryann) Cutlip, Joseph (Paula) Cutlip, Walter (Lucia) Guernsey, Donna Marie (Daren) Perry, Dawn (Zano) Gray, Michelle (Dave) Beltz, and David Scott. Loving grandmother of Nicole, Anthony, Angela, Jared, Joseph, Emmy, Jacob, Sarah, Zaden, Z'anna, Justine, Isaac, Valentino, Vanessa, and great-grandmother of Jack, Nathan, Carlie, Max, and Liam. Sister of the late Joan Beste, and the late Dolores Salmoni. Visitation for Donna will be held Saturday, July 9th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Her Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will take place on Monday at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.Please share memories of Donna at her memory book above.
