

Born in Louisville, Mississippi to the late Thomas and Eula Livingston, nothing was more important to Doris than her devotion to her family. Throughout the years Doris made sure to stay connected to her family spread across the U.S. and enjoyed road trips with the family. They made sure to make a yearly trip to Mississippi to visit their friends and family from her hometown. When she was home, Doris was known for her garden that was always in full bloom and vegetable garden ripe with whatever she and her husband George were growing at the time. A naturally great cook, Doris canned and made everything fresh. Homemade ice cream was the favorite among her kids. A very active grandmother, Doris was intentional to make sure her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew that she loved and supported them. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Doris will be missed dearly.
Devoted mother of Stan (Sheila) Edwards, Tim (Tish) Edwards, and Daniel (Stefanie) Edwards. Loving grandmother of Harmony, Autumn, Shatiel, Charity, Cassondra, Nathanael, Brighton, Nathan, and Avery. She also had 21 great-grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her husband George Edwards, her daughter Evelyn Edwards, and great-grandson Chase Wakula.
Visitation Friday, November 29th from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 11am at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Burial to take place Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Twp. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101, are appreciated.
