Edward William Saroli, age 75 of Macomb Township, died Friday, April 3, 2020 at the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. He was born November 10, 1944 in Hazel Park, Michigan, son of the late William "Ollie" and the late Helen Mary (nee: Proimos) Saroli.
A carpenter by trade, it simply made the shift all-too-easy for Eddie to make woodworking one of his favorite hobbies. Through his day job, he was exercising his talents in helping to build things and make wood projects into something on a larger scale. Through his woodworking skills, Eddie was actually calling upon the artist within as he produced some incredibly beautiful pieces, sculpted with the finesse and patience of a clock maker. Being able to dabble in such a precise mode of art helped showcase Eddie’s talents and offered a way for him to share them with many of his family and friends over the years.
When he wanted a break from wood, Ed’s other hobby was found in working with stained glass. Whether he was fashioning a beautiful jewelry box or constructing a gorgeous cross, his eye for this colorful art form was second only to the majestic pieces that flowed from his hands and the artful flair that set his works apart. He truly was an artist in so many ways, a gift that just kept on giving.
For those who truly knew Eddie, they’ll easily attest to the strong and abiding faith that guided his life. Devout in his Christian beliefs, he was extremely active within his church and an influential member who helped strengthen the faith of so many others along the way as well. Just one look at the man and it was easy to tell that love flowed from every pore of his being and touched a multitude of hearts and souls in the process.
Yet if you wanted to witness one of the purest, most adorable acts of love from Eddie, that would have been found in each moment he was afforded in the company of his precious grandchildren. They were truly his little angels sent from Heaven to melt his heart and be a conduit of God’s immense love and compassion in a hectic world. With them, and the rest of his dear family, Eddie was able to create some lasting and wonderful memories to embrace for the road ahead,…and to draw upon when he needed a lift. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Eddie leaves a legacy of love that is sure to be a testament to the man who made an incredible impact wherever he went. He will be missed beyond expression and loved beyond measure. May he rest in peace.
Edward was the beloved husband of Anita Louise (nee: Belzer) Saroli. Dear father of Stacey (Steven) Meixner, Amie (Randy) Christian, Dan (Heather) Saroli, and Michelle (Jerry) Crank. Loving grandfather of Kaitlyn, Lillian, Lanie, Avril, and Darian. Brother of Nick (Terry) Saroli.
