Frank Carta

Born in Detroit to the late Michael and Rose Carta, Frank was a longtime member of St. Malachy Catholic Church. Frank loved his family, friends and their dogs, more than anything. When his kids were younger, he never missed any of their hockey, basketball, or baseball games, and even coached their baseball team for some time. His kids always knew that he and his wife Josephine would always be on the sidelines cheering them on at any game. In their free time, Frank and his wife would take trips to Florida where he could do some of his favorite pastimes such as laying in the sun and exercising as well as spending some cherished quality time together. Frank was a dear friend to many and kept in touch with a number of friends from his graduating class of 1960 of Austin High School in Detroit. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Frank will be missed dearly by all who survive him.

Beloved husband of Josephine for 55 years. Loving dad of Michael (fiancé Laura) Carta, Larry Carta, and Paul Carta. Dear grandpa of Gianna Carta and Nicco Carta. Cherished brother of the late Rosemary (the late Frank) Prainito. Caring brother-in-law of Louise (the late James) DuBay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will occur Monday, June 3rd from 10:30am until time of Memorial Mass at 11am at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 E 14 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48312.
