

Franklin Delano Anderson, resident of Clinton Township, Michigan, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the age of 90. He was the loving husband of the late Callie Anderson and a devoted father to Lori Furnari (Leo III), Cynthia Anderson, and Frank Anderson. Franklin held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren: Ann Marie Wakula (Casey), Leo Furnari IV (Tricia), Frank Anderson (Rebecca), and Andrew Anderson (Catherine), who brought immense joy to his life. Additionally, he was a cherished great-grandfather to Sam, Gabbi, Eli, Leo V, and Luciana. Richard Anderson and Terri Anderson were lucky to have him as their beloved uncle. He also leaves behind his dear friend and companion, Jane Roda.
Franklin proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He embarked on his military journey on June 12, 1950, and displayed unwavering dedication until his separation on February 11, 1954. His commitment and service to his country will always be remembered.
Franklin had a deep passion for literature, immersing himself in books throughout his life. He dedicated his working years to TACOM, demonstrating commitment and diligence. In his leisure time, he found solace in the world of golf, relishing the opportunity to play at Cedar Glen Golf Club. During his later years, Franklin discovered a new hobby in winemaking and found immense satisfaction in constructing model ships, committing countless hours to his intricate creations. His family fondly remembers him for his inquisitive nature and mischievous spirit.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Franklin's life will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, located at 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will follow on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
