Franklin "Bud" McDonald age 85, a long time resident of Detroit died November 3, 2008 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Clarkston Michigan. Bud was born March 23, 1923 in Detroit Michigan the son of the late William and Emma McDonald. Mr. McDonald served his country during World War II as a Quartermaster Third Class, and remembered his Navy days with fondness. Bud's lifetime love was the water and sailing. He was an outstanding carpenter and working on his schooner was a never ending hobby. He lived in the Upper Peninsula from 1998 till 2005. Mr. McDonald was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by nine nieces and nephews, and many relatives. Visitation for Bud will be Wednesday from 6-9 pm, at the Harrington & Temrowski Funeral Home, 8909 Dixie Highway in Clarkston. Memorial donations are appreciated to donors choice.
