My heart is heavy. A lost first and true love of the past, but never forgotten.

Upon our return from Florida we were saddened to hear about the passing of Fred. We were sorry we were not here to be with all of you. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

To The Tadra Family, Iam so sorry I did'nt get to meet the Tadra Family. Knowing Fred like I did I know he must have come from a great family. Fred and I met through Ford and managed to play a lot of golf together, here in MI, in Canada and out west. We also teamed up on a golf league with Ford Van Dyke. Fred and I were a lot alike when it came to golf, we both loved to play but neither of us could (as while as we would have liked to). He will truley be missed by me. I don't think I will ever play in another outing without thinking of Fred. His friend and golfing buddy. Bruce

To Freds' Family, please accept my most heartfelt sorrow for your loss. Fred; You are my good friend. You will always share a place in my heart. I will miss our phone conversations, our trips to Hamtramck for lunch and just being there. But most of all I will miss you as a true friend. Our friendship was simple, if I needed you, you were there, If you needed me, I was there. Thank you for being a positive portion of my life. We know all of you are grieving this terrible loss, but also know, Fred is now at peace in the arms of our Lord Jesus, and is now free from any more pain and suffering. To the Tadra family, Some of the best times of my life were spent with Fred Forty Kentucky Derbys, vacations in Cancun, St. Martin, Upper Michigan, and California, were all the best. I'll miss the weekly phone calls we had, and I will miss his Las Vegas Visits. Helen and I will miss him a lot. Rich and Helen Wood

To the Tadra family. We will miss our Uncle Fred. Dad (Richard Wood) and Fred were friends for 60 years. I'll never forget Saturday mornings at our house, my dad and Uncle Fred would be reading the Daily racing form (their Bible)handicapping the races for the day. Not much conversation, but stuff like "who do you like in the 3rd race". ALl the Kentucky derby's the "fab five" went to. Uncle Fred was there for all the major events in our lives and then some. He often slept on our couch after a steak roast at our house. I'll miss his laugh and quite conversations. His deep friendship with my dad was awesome to witness. The stories my dad tells of him and Fred growing up in Detroit....they are so funny. I remember as a young girl how handsome Uncle Fred was. He reminded me of Mac Davis or Gene Wilder. He introduced me to the horses at the track, I fell in love with the gracefully animals. I met his horses twenty sixteen and ole'woodennickel. He use to take me to the barns were I could groom and feed the horses. He took me to a farm one time to meet a colt that was just a few months old. I looked forward to Freds visits to Vegas and hangin out. The Wood family will miss our Uncle Fred...He was an awesome guy and I loved him very much.
