Harry Edgar Bellow, age 75 of Center Line, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. He was born July 30, 1941 in Warren, son of the late Oliver and the late Beatrice (nee: Taylor) Bellow. With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Harry for his service to our country during the Vietnam War era. As a sailor in our U.S. Navy, he attained the rank of Gunner's Mate Third Class (missles) and served aboard both the USS Galveston and the USS Little Rock. A dedicated and loyal employee for over 35 years, Harry worked for Ring Screw Works located in Madison Heights, one of the many suppliers to the automotive industry and beyond. Extending the utmost in service excellence to his work, he enjoyed a long history with the firm until accepting his well-deserved retirement at the age of 59 years old.In his younger years, Harry found great enjoyment and exhilaration through his involvement with soccer as a coach with the Warren Youth Soccer League. From helping his kids to grow both athletically and mentally, to serving as a mentor in some of the most formidable years of their lives,…coaching brought out the best in Harry and always instilled him with immense pride at the opportunity he was given to mold some winners. Along with coaching, Harry was also quite involved as a Board Member with the soccer league as well. As for his other, more personal sporting pleasures, they were met each and every time he got to see his iconic Detroit Tigers or the boys from the University of Michigan football teams. Whether for the Blue & Orange or Blue & Maize, there was always time for the Tigers or the Wolverine's. Yet not merely for the sporting aspect, Harry's love for simply watching TV reigned supreme. He enjoyed many favorites that kept him returning to the tube and could easily make an evening of what television provided. Yet for anybody who knew Harry, they'll attest to the fact that his premiere joy was found in his grandchildren. Spoiling them gave him some of life's sweetest pleasures,…and he ate it all up! A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Harry touched countless hearts and lives in his journey through life, and took many on a wild ride. He leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories for all to embrace who were blessed to enjoy his company and life. He will be missed immensely.Harry was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen. Dear father of Jason, Lisa (Mark) Moine, and the late Tracy. Loving grandfather of Lauren and Brendan.
