

Henry Michael Kruszewski, age 72 died Sunday October 6, 2019 at his home in Center Line, Michigan. Henry was born January 18, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Henry Kruszewski and the late Sophie (nee: Latarski) Kruszewski.
Henry was raised in Detroit and later graduated from Pershing High School. Growing up as a young boy Henry enjoyed model car making which continued into adulthood. Following his schooling Henry enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He would serve within the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Four, attaining the rank of E3 Aviation Structural Mechanic. Some of his proudest military moments were being able to assist in the early NASA lunar landing recovery of the astronauts from sea serving aboard the rescue helicopter.
Following his military service Henry returned home to Michigan where he rejoined the workforce working at Ford Motor within the quality control department. Henry worked for over 35 years mostly at the Sterling Heights plant before retiring.
When Henry was not working he enjoyed camping with his sons, wood crafting, or just helping anyone out with their home projects. He was a kind, caring, gifted soul who was willing to help anyone out in need. Henry would give you the last dollar in his wallet if you need help. He was the consummate jokester with a great sense of humor. He realized how hard people worked and was known as a very generous tipper.
Henry was the dear father of Shawn (Laura Brown) Kruszewski, and Kevin (Jessica) Kruszewski. He was the loving grandfather of Kevin Jr., Kendra, Noah, Casey, Sabrina, and Colin. Also Brother of Gerry (Frank) Mallon and brother in-law Alex (the late Shirley) Chizmadia. Further survivors include his former wife Cathy Loop, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation for Henry will be held on Wednesday from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 mile). Henry will lay in state Thursday 10:30 am at St. Malachy Catholic Church located at 14115 E. 14 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, until the time of the Funeral Mass 11am.
