Henry A. Steiger

Henry Anthony Steiger, age 39 a Hazel Park resident for over 16 years, died suddenly Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at St. John Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights. Henry was born September 11, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Gerard Steiger and Barbara (nee: Laethem) Steiger. He is survived by his loving wife Amy, his father and mother, Gerry & Barbara Steiger, dear brother of Cheryl (Gary) Burnett, and the late Joan Steiger. Beloved grandson of Catherine Laethem. Dearest uncle of Jade, Julie, and Kelly. Son in-law of Carolyn and the late Donald Machiniak. Brother in-law of Cindy (Steve) McLaughlin. Cherished Godfather of Justin and Ryan Oberg. Henry was raised in St. Clair Shores and later Fraser Michigan. He graduated from Fraser High School, and went on to study automotive mechanics. After working for a short time with vehicles he returned to his first love of computers. Henry was employed by Energy Conversion Devices in Auburn Hills as their lead Network Computer Architect. As a young boy Henry was smart and very inquisitive. He was a member of the Indian Guides, and as he became older he began building radio controlled RC planes. Henry also loved to cook, play billiards, and collect old computers. His true passion in life was hunting and fishing with his beloved dogs, Shadow, Cristal, and Stella. Everyday Henry was thinking about computers or hunting. He could always be found wearing some camouflage on his clothing or watch. Henry also loved spending time at his northern 20 acre property, where he would constantly try to build the worlds biggest bonfire known to man. He would say if you cant see it from space its not a bonfire. He also cherished his family and his two godsons. Visitation for Henry will be Friday from 2-9 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile). Funeral Services will be held Saturday 12 Noon at the funeral home. Officiating the Funeral will be Rev. Fr. Gary Tierney.
