Irma Elaine Jones, age 96, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born on August 31, 1929, in Michigan, to the late Frank Warner and the late Ernestine (Brinker) Warner.
Irma was born and raised in Warren, Michigan, and proudly graduated from Warren High School in 1947. Most of her life was devoted to being a loving and dedicated homemaker, raising her ten children with patience, strength, and unwavering care. Later in life, she continued her calling of service as a devoted nursing assistant at Autumn Woods Nursing Home.
Irma was joyful, beautiful, patient, spiritual, generous, and deeply thoughtful. Her thoughtfulness shone through in countless ways, especially in how she faithfully remembered each grandchild’s birthday, always sending a card to make them feel loved and remembered. She also showed her love through baking. Her walnut roll-up cookies and cut out sugar cookies for the holidays, became favorites that everyone looked forward to and enjoyed.
She found joy in many simple and spirited pleasures: playing bingo, riding her bike, dancing, and traveling with her senior group. She loved watching the freighters pass by on Lake St. Clair, dressing up for Halloween (and competing fiercely in costume contests), and proudly walked the Mackinac Bridge multiple times. Irma treasured her travels to California, cherished time spent “up north” in Lewiston, and enjoyed the beauty in Canadian Lakes, Michigan.
