Jack R. Hilsinger age 73, of Warren died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Medilodge of Sterling Heights. He was born February 9, 1936 in Detroit the son of the late Ivan and the late Dolores (nee: Kimm) Hilsinger. Jack was employed by Massey-Ferguson where he worked for several years. Following that, he held down a number of different jobs, but none that held a passion for him like music. Being a musician with a desire to entertain, Jack formed a band called, "Uncle Jack Hilsinger & His Country Cousins." Later, the name of the band would change to "Country Express." From local bars and county fairs, to fraternal organizations like the VFW and American Legion, Jack & company made quite a name for themselves, and even cut a record entitled; "Detroit to Nashville - Reflection of a Fool." And wherever a community Grand Ole Opry Show was playing, you'd find Jack and his band. Other pastimes Jack enjoyed were bowling and billiards, both for which he was a league member. Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years, Freida; children, Kathy Jones, Jack S. Hilsinger, Vickie (Ralph) Logue, Sandy (Jeff) Fader, and Susan (Wayne) York; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; son in law, Brian Mabin; siblings, Carol Bouquet, Betty Neal, and Robert (Carolyn) Hilsinger.
