James Cecil Hatfield, age 69 of Warren, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at home. He was born November 12, 1945 in Mitchell Branch Hollow Red Jacket, West Virginia, son of Alice W. (nee: Richardson) and the late Troy C. Hatfield.Born and raised in the beauty and simplicity of West Virginia, James eventually headed north in search of work at a time when the automotive industry was booming. Ultimately landing a position with American Axle, that is where he would pour the best of his work ethics and strengths toward a successful career that spanned over 40 years. After a long history of dedicated and loyal service, James accepted his well-deserved retirement to enjoy more time with family and friends. In his younger years, many of James' childhood memories were those woven by his love of horses. With age came a new appreciation for the joy of fishing, a peaceful and serene pastime that he tried to capture as often as possible. Yet of all the moments in life that brought him the most happiness, it was the treasured times immersed in the love of family and the relationships he worked so hard to nurture. Part of that nurturing came with each trip he enjoyed back down to West Virginia to visit with those cherished loved ones he left behind. Each visit was a testament to the wonderful bonds that link family as one.A loving husband, father and grandfather, James leaves a storehouse of precious memories for all to draw upon who were blessed to know this dear man.
