James was born on August 15, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, to Edward and Virginia Szymanski.
In his early teens, James was considered something of an amateur magician, performing magic tricks for friends and family. He was also a huge film buff and enjoyed watching all types of movies, especially science fiction and horror, and would attend screenings at local theaters with his brother and close friends. After his daughter was born and became old enough, he continued that tradition with her.
James is survived by his former wife Amanda, his beloved daughter Francesca, his dear brother David (Cheryl) Szymanski, and his niece and nephew Christina and James Szymanski. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Virginia Szymanski.
A visitation for James will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, Michigan 48088.
