

James Alexander White, age 79 of Warren, died Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at Bon Secour Nursing Center in St. Clair Shores. Alex as he was referred to, was born October 12, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Stephen White and the late Susan (nee: MacDougall) White. Mr. White was raised in Nova Scotia Canada surrounded by many family members and friends of his Scottish heritage. He returned to Detroit in 1947 to find work. Alex worked for over 20 years as a machine repairman for Bower Roller Bearing company until the company relocated to Alabama. He then went to work for General Dynamics Corporation as a machine repairman for over 15 years until his retirement. Mr. White was a devoted family man who cherished his grandchildren. He also loved his trips back to Nova Scotia, and was a die hard hockey fan. Mr. White was a devoted founding member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church and a Warren resident for over 40 years. Alex White is survived by his loving wife Catherine (nee: Campbell). He is the dearest father of David (Teri) White. Loving grandfather of Jillian, Brendon, and the late David Alexander White, and brother of Mary (Archie) MacDougall, and Roddie (Kay) White. Visitation for Mr. White will be Thursday November 9th, from 5-9 pm and Friday 2-9 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 mile). A Rosary will be recited Friday at 6 pm. Mr. White will lie in State Saturday 10:00 am, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 11200 Twelve Mile in Warren, until the time of the funeral Mass 10:30 am.
